Attendance to Internoise 2022

LEAM members attended to Internoise 2022, hold last August in Glasgow.

Three researchers of the Acoustical and Mechanical Engineering Laboratory (LEAM), research group of the DEM associated to the CATMech (Centre for Advanced Technologies in Mechanics), attended to a new edition of the Internoise congress, hold in Glasgow between 21th and 24th August. The talks of the researchers Laura Babici, Arnau Clot and Robert Arcos, were focused on the following topics, respectively: Acoustic emission at the wheel-rail contacts in a railway contact with micro-slip and stick-slip; a 2.5D automatic FEM-SBM method for the evaluation of free-field vibrations induced by underground railway infrastructures; and the software VIBWAY, a user-friendly computational tool for the prediction of railway-induced ground-borne noise and vibration.
